Most of the movie involves the kid heroes training to fight this former superhero who is trapped in another dimension and it all leads to an a nticlimactic fight scene. There's none of the clever writing that made Incredibles or Sky High any good. The movie itself is pretty underwhelming. Yep this movie definitely came out in the 2000s. More than half of it composes of Smash Mouth songs such as "Everyday Superhero" and their cover of "Under Pressure." There's also "Superman" by Five for Fighting and "My Hero" by Enrique Iglesias. One thing to note is the movie's soundtrack. A box-office bomb, Zoom was panned by critics and Allen was nominated for a Razzie Award for his performance (he was also nominated for The Shaggy Dog and The Santa Clause 3). However, one of the poorer attempts was 2006's Zoom with Tim Allen. A lot of great non-DC/Marvel superhero movies came in 2000s such as The Incredibles and Sky High both of which I have huge nostalgia for.
